ONE HOUR. NO RULES.
Riot + Reverie Radio is a monthly hour dedicated to underground sound and the scenes that keep it alive. Each episode dives into a city, a movement, or a moment in punk and alternative music that shaped something bigger than itself. Expect deep cuts, hometown heroes, and bands still grinding it out. No filler. Just what’s worth hearing.
Riot + Reverie Radio airs monthly on Radio Garden State, New Jersey’s independent internet radio station dedicated to real voices and real music. You can stream the show live at radiogardenstate.com, or listen through the Audacy app, TuneIn, and radio.net. However you tune in, the signal stays loud.

OUR COMMITMENT
Riot + Reverie Radio exists to spotlight the scenes and sounds that don’t need corporate polish to matter. Each month, the show centers on the music that starts in basements, small venues, and tight-knit communities, connecting the bands that built the foundation to the ones carrying it forward. It’s a space for discovery, for context, and for listeners who still care about where the music comes from.
MEET YOUR HOST
ELENA STEVENS

Elena is the voice behind Riot + Reverie Radio.
Toronto-born and now Philly-based, she came up in the late ’90s punk scene with a camera in hand, documenting bands that helped shape a generation, including Bad Religion, The Beastie Boys, and Fugazi. That era didn’t just influence her taste in music. It shaped how she understands energy, community, and the power of a live room.
Drawn to stories that feel raw, electric, and unforgettable, Elena builds each episode around the scenes and sounds that leave a mark. Riot + Reverie Radio is her way of tracing that line from basement shows to the bands you love.
